About Us

Dr. Melissa Starr Blackburn grew up in Hollywood, Florida and received a full scholarship to attend Florida State University where she majored in Exercise Physiology. Her interests in the human body then led her to further her education and attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated summa cum laude with her doctorate degree. She chose this program because she knew that the physical body and organ systems were not all separate entities but work harmoniously as one. She then went on to graduate her Ob/Gyn residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ.

Dr. Blackburn has a passion for exercise and nutrition and believes that these two components of lifestyle are important in maintaining optimal health and avoiding future health problems.
